Puppy Party Day!

Sharon Hall of Morlae Poodles and Susie Gale of Sirokko prefix

It was just a short 7 weeks ago and these babies came into the world.  They have the most delightful, outgoing and friendly personalities.  We had a super day out with our Poodle Family and Friends watching our babies and picking our keeper puppy.

Welcoming Morlae High On Life with Sirokko "Frankie" we are so excited you are finally here.  We feel so honoured to have been able to have these babies. Thank you to Tanzi's mum Tamara and also owners and breeders of "Juan" American Australian Ch. Piedmont High Roller - our Frankies daddy.

Puppy Party Fun - Everyone was just so outgoing!

Table Manners - Learning how to stack on the table

We had such a brilliant day out today with all these kids.  A long car ride, a new environment and lots of people and they didn't miss a beat.  Small kids, loads of new toys and before you know it - Party Time indeed.  So proud of these babies and so looking forward to watching them all grow and develop with their new families.  We have two puppies heading into the show ring but most importantly will be very much loved members of the family.  Thank you so much to our awesome photographer of the day Ffiona Erskine - you sure captured our joy!

Morlae Aces High "TOKEN" heading to QLD soon is playing with his sister!

Such a GREAT day out with the sun shining!  The new environment was just the best fun.

9 Beautiful Babies Born
All born safely at home what a relief!
Puppies are born with no sight and without hearing.

Cant believe it was only 9 weeks ago and my beautifully natured, kind and loving Australian Champion Sirokko Twist of Fate "Kiss" was thinking about welcoming a family.  At approximately 28 days an ultrasound can be performed to confirm pregnancy!   Time to stock up on lots of yummy food as dogs can be just like humans and have some change in diet likes and dislikes.
Kiss having an ultrasound!
What a good girl she is. Now for the wait.

Kiss 8 weeks pregnant on my property.

Congratulations Kiss 9 Babies Arrive Safe and Sound.  2/11/19

We were very proud to announce the safe arrival of 9 babies safely into the world on Wednesday 2nd October, 2019. Kiss is a wonderful and loving mother. Feeling very excited for all our puppy buyers who have been keen and eagerly awaiting the good news.

The time of gestation in dogs is 9 weeks.  Puppies are always born with their eyes and ears still underdeveloped, they will continue to change over the next 14 days, so for now they can't see or hear and this is why the sense of smell is so amazing in dogs... it's how they will find their mother and their food for now.

Puppies also cant regulate their own body temperature and so we need to be sure they stay at the right temperature, heating pads and thermometres are what we use to monitor and help them for them for now.

We always put a coloured ribbon on each of our puppies so we know their birth order, weight at birth and can't start to monitor them daily and mark off their Neurological Stimulation Exercises on a chart.  They will wear this colour for their entire 8 weeks so we can follow their progress and see little personalities developing.

Sleeping and Growing

PRECIOUS .... Eating and Sleeping

Pups have already been getting some clipping, nails trimmed regularly, exposure to grooming table and the sound of dryers all in readiness for being groomed throughout their lives.  They have been spending some of the daytime at my grooming salon, this gives them the opportunity to view other breeds.  During the day we play them various sounds from Google Play like thunderstorms, airplane noises, children playing loudly, motorbikes etc.   It will be time to start practising stepping up and down from a table flat on the groom room floor, to prepare them for steps.

PUPS ENJOY THE OUTDOORS EVERY DAY!

Enjoying some wide open space each afternoon

I have some very large safe fenced areas.

In the early mornings and afternoons my puppies get to enjoy my large property located near Nowra they have the opportunity to play, view my various livestock, cats and birds giving them experience of sounds and sight that come with being outdoors.  Puppies are becoming accustomed to the feeling of multiple surfaces under their feet.

They have two crates in their outdoor area with doors currently removed so that they can seek solace and come and go from the crate as they please.  Feeding of puppies will soon take place in a crate for some meals to further encourage their use of them.  Positive crate training can help prepare puppies for travel, especially if you plan on your puppy travelling in a crate in the car or by plane.  When puppy finally does visit the vets to be desexed they will not be stressed if they have spent time crated.    Puppies are being walked back from that area to their outdoor room with the positive encouragement of meal time dishes clanking together, calling them back.

All pups are groomed each week...
